COVID Testing Requirements

Your affiliation (faculty, staff, student), vaccine status, and location (JHU or JHUSOM) will impact your COVID testing requirements each week. Follow all testing and masking requirements as outlined by Johns Hopkins policies.

Already Vaccinated?

Faculty, Staff, Non-residential Students:

  • You will still need weekly COVID testing until you submit proof of your vaccination.
  • If you have been vaccinated, your vaccine documentation is submitted, and you are not a residential student, weekly COVID testing will no longer be required.
  • The daily COVID Health Check is required per Johns Hopkins policy, regardless of vaccination status. Follow all testing and masking requirements as outlined by Johns Hopkins policies.

On-Campus (Residential JHU Students):

  • If you are living on campus and already vaccinated, you will still need to complete testing once a week.
  • The Health screen of the Prodensity app will track your testing requirements. Testing status within Prodensity is based on compliance only and is not a reflection of test results.
  • The daily COVID Health Check is required per Johns Hopkins policy, regardless of vaccination status.
Are You Unvaccinated/Seeking a Vaccine Exception?

If you have not yet been vaccinated, are in the process of requesting an exception, or have received an exception, testing and masking indoors are required according to Johns Hopkins policy. The daily COVID Health Check is also required per Johns Hopkins policy, regardless of vaccination status.

The Health screen of the Prodensity app will track your testing requirements. Testing status within Prodensity is based on compliance only and is not a reflection of test results.

If you are up-to-date on your testing and any other required To Do list items, your health screen will appear green.

If any of your required testing is past due, your health screen will indicate the past due item(s) with yellow icons.

If you have missed your COVID Health Check or a required COVID test, you will see a red icon and red Campus Pass:
